wishing you a lot of love and good recovery. If you ever need to talk, reach out, I will be there. We have some common interested, so I could understand more than you might think. Be strong, you are a winner ! And now I think many will look to you for inspiration.
I am a writer and journalist, and pray for you. God is with you.
Love Christy
You are an inspiration sweet girl, you are in my prayers, would love to send you the book ‘Jesus Calling’ by Sara Young… a daily devotional. XO Chloe Crystal
Lauren, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I share your love for fashion as well, I was a fashion merchandising major in college. You devotion to your faith is very inspiring, I also have always believed that God has a plan and journey for us that we have yet to discover. Happy New Year to you and wishing you all of God’s blessings always.
XO
Lindsay
Lauren, it won’t be easy but you will get used to it and adapt; you are young. I lost my left eye when I was young to a ‘mean’ kid whose parents had dangerous and far reaching connections. Escaping the area and multiple surgeries later, I started to adapt and do well all of the things that the doctors said I would never be able to safely do (climb, play ball, etc.). Healing of the psyche is harder than the physical, work there first…
The loss of my eye did change me, but in many ways for the better. My path changed, and my life better than my parents ever expected. Sight, or the partial loss of it has nothing to do with vision; that comes from within.
All are prayers and His blessings,
Dave
dear lauren,
I have to admit I didn’t know who you were prior to your accident. I am not the most fashion forward person in the world. lol. i tend to hang out in Nikes and scrubs. However, in reading about you, I figured I would drop a line and say keep you chin up girlie, you’ll be ok. get pissed and kick stuff if u have to but never give up. when I had my ankle reconstructed and fused a while back. i had a long rehab and could no longer do a lot of things I loved like running or walking normally. I got sad for a while, but then i just realized that it would be ok. you will be too. please take care of yourself, colleen from new york
On December 10th I fell into a firepit in my backyard and burned over 30% of my body. Your accident, your struggles, and your inspiration to keep on keeping on hit home so closely. I look forward to reading about your journey. It is one thing to live through trama and it is a very separate thing to find the gift in it. Living to tell about it is a miracle and one that is indescribable. I don’t know you, yet I feel your pain and your desire to remain “you”. My thoughts are with you.
You are more beautiful now then before your accident. It only gave you more character! God Bless!!!
hi my name is alison,i have just read your story in glamour mag,you have really inspired me,you are so brave.i had a heart operation in 2010 and developed Compartment syndrome in my leg and had to have a fasciotomy, they took most of the muscle out of left leg and its left me with foot drop and huge scars down both sides of my left leg.your story has really inspired me and to stop feeling sorry for myself,so thank you for that
Alison xx
You Define Inspiration..You Story and Recovery Is Increadable.. I Believe your A Living Miracle..Your Incredably Beautiful.. May God Bless You Everyday ,and May You Never Lose That Amazing Smile…. God Bless
Lauren, your story was so insirational! I very much enjoyed your book. You mentioned in your booked that one of your PT used a special cocoa butter on your scars – can you share what that is? I have scars from a double mastectomy and I am interested for my scars. Thanks and God Bless.
You are such an inspiration to me and to many other ladies. You have a gift to help others…to tell your story.. to learn and grow from it.. and really wake women up about looks and weight. Nowdays all you ever hear about is looking a certain way or women wanting to get plastic surgery.. i mean when there are millions of people everyday getting injured and really needing that surgery but cannot afford it. I think society in general needs a wake up call in terms of the way a woman should look.. they forget about the spiritual side.. the heart ..the way life should be.. the people that matter, the way we treat others and respecting our values and fellow human beings. I am so touched by your stroy..its incredible and life changing.. guess that is what life is about..learning and growing.. and loving each other.. most important.
Hey Lauren, my name is Alison and I just recently read your book I found at my local library. I just wanted to let you know you are an inspiration to me, your whole life relying on faith to guide you through the hard times. I am diagnosed bi-polar and schizophrenic and God is my life line through all the hard times. You are amazing, beautiful, and strong. I look up to you and think about you all the time. Thank you for being a mentor to me. love always, Ali
I just finished your book! I started it like 3 days ago and couldn’t put it down (we were in Dallas while I was reading it)! I loved it so much that my mom is reading it now
It’s so encouraging to read about people who love the Lord so much! Thank you for being an encourager in the faith!
