How I found Vega: I was in Whole Foods aka my second home on a Saturday afternoon, and I got all of the inside scoop about this nutritional gem from the Vega One rep that was in store that day. I had been on the look out for a new protein powder considering that dairy and gluten were on the no-go list for me, and the add on to those two important pluses: this is a clean, plant-based fuel for an active, healthy lifestyle.

The breakfast recipe that I am addicted to:
1/2 cup of cooked oatmeal
1 teaspoon of coconut oil
1 tablespoon of milled flaxseed
1 scoop of the Chocolate Protein Powder
Cinnamon

THE NUTRITIONAL BAR THAT CONTAINS IT ALL

Vega bars from Anna’s (my close friend & roomie) perspective:

1) It is a good texture. They are not chewy like many protein bars; you don’t have to spend 30 hours chewing it.
2) I like the chocolate flavor and chocolate coating on the outside.
3) I eat it before I work my night shift in neuro-trauma at Children’s Hospital, and it fills me up for 4-5 hours and gives me energy!

Favorite flavors: double chocolate and chocolate almond.
